At the age of 10 Carlos was already enrolled in every music program he could in the Baltimore City Schools. He was soon performing in local clubs on Pennsylvania Ave… In the late `60’s, he joined the Bim Bam Boom Trio with the late organist Cornell Muldrow. He played with Cornell for nearly 15 years at the Lucky Number Club on Popular Grove St. Toured with vocalist Damita Jo. While on the road he shared the stage with such performers as Count Basie, Lena Home, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Chuck Jackson and Roy Ayers. Aside from his proficiency with the alto sax, he has a soulful singing voice.
